Students need to read each night for 15-20 minutes. This can include reading to a stuffed animal or a pet, listening to books online or on CD or being read to. On occasion students may bring home a book from school to read to some family members and then return to school the next day. Please have students record their reading each night in their reading log book.
Weekend Journals-
Students will be bringing home their Weekend Journals each Friday. They will have done some writing during the day in this journal. Please take the time to read their writing and respond with a quick note back!!
Homework Journals-
Each Friday students will be bringing home their homework journals. Inside will be a glued homework assignment. Please return this journal by the following Friday. These homework assignments will include,but may not be limited to sight word work, phonics and phonemic awareness rules, IB explorations, and math computation or math games.
